My review is based on the fact that I used this with 5 newborn puppies. The mat was a very useful addition to the puppy nurturing kit but some fluids do tend to seep through which can be unpleasant. Once they grew teeth, they started shredding it. With older dogs, this should not be a problem. Overall, it's a decent product and it helped me a lot.
I cannot comment on the flavour, scent is mostly neutral, but the effect is great. it kept my dogs calm during diwali crackers and they kind of like the flavour. I think everyone should give it a try, the product by the look and description seems fair and good.
My dogs absolutely LOVE these treats! Recently, my puppy got a pack in her Barkbox of the Peanut Butter/Carob flavor, and not only did she eat them, but the other dogs in the house had a blast with them! I got the Vanilla/Mint and the dogs pretty much killed them with fervor.
I love that these are easy for dogs of all ages to eat-- my 8-month old puppy chomps them, our middle-aged dog eats it more delicately, and our senior (with two teeth) pretty much gums them. It leaves them all with fresh breath and happy wagging tails. I only wish the small packages came with more! The packages don't last nearly long enough with three dogs, so I have to limit the Twistix a lot more than regular treats. I'll be buying the tub of them next time! It would be a dream come true if they had tubs of the other flavors, but I'm fine with this for now.
All of the dogs are pugs, and they go through the large sized ones quickly. So if you have even a medium-sized dog, go for the large. The small sized are practically gulp-able, so probably should be reserved for mini breeds or teeny dogs. I wholeheartedly recommend these to anyone with dogs! I'm looking forward to putting some in Mabel's stocking this Christmas, and I might even give some to my other dog-owning friends this holiday season!
